The Situation:
Location: Ezhou Huahu Airport, also named SF International Airport, is a proposed development by SF Express Co. SF Express (Group) Co., Ltd. is the second largest courier in China which provides domestic and international express delivery. The airport will be developed as one of the largest air cargo hubs in Asia and the world, providing facilities for wide-body aircraft such as A380.
Floor condition:
Dry shake floor, about a 5-6 on the Mohs scale, The floor was porous and had lots of cracks.
The Challenge:
The client expected a none-exposed finish, therefore the laitance removal in the grinding process should be controlled precisely.
Ashine’s Solution:
E-shine Triple Row Resin Polishing Pads
1. First, the contractors applied a layer of of hardener to the floor.
Following this step, contractors grinded down the top layer of flooring to to take away any spots or marks on the current flooring, using Ashine’s latest 500 grit resin-bond wet polishing pad. Another layer of hardener was applied to the floor after grinding to increase the durability of the flooring.
2. Then contractors ran a grind to remove any left-over of the hardener using Ashine’s 1000 grit resin-bond wet polishing pad.
3. Then Ashine’s 800 grit dry resin-bond polishing pads were used which was followed by a layer of sealer to add shine to the floor.
4. Finally, the contractors used high speed burnisher to finish off the job after the sealer dried down.
The Result:
The Floor Achieved high clarity finish with high DOI measurement of 73.0.
With all the data we have collected so far, in the case of Ezhou Huahu Airport with the aforementioned process, it is estimated:
